While white clothing is often seen as a safe and versatile choice, expert astrology opinions suggest it may not be suitable for Scorpio, Aries, and Cancer, who might find other shades better reflect their temperaments and moods.
White clothing is often sold as the universal safe bet: fresh, tidy and flattering on almost everyone. But in astrology, even the most neutral shade can be read differently from sign to sign. In the view of astrologer Lyudmila Bulgakova, as reported by TSN, white is not the best pick for Scorpio, Aries and Cancer, who may feel better in colours that seem to match their temperament more closely.
For Scorpio, the idea is that white can flatten the sign’s intensity rather than work with it. Astrology writers at Parade and Astrotalk have made a similar point, saying that pale or off-white tones can dilute Scorpio’s edge, while deeper shades such as dark blue, maroon or black are usually presented as a better fit. The basic theory is simple enough: Scorpio is treated as a sign that tends to thrive on depth, secrecy and strong contrast, so a softer palette may feel a little underpowered.
Aries gets a different warning. According to Bulgakova, white can act like a dampener on Aries’ famously restless, go-getting energy, leaving the sign feeling less lively than usual. Other astrology round-ups on sign-specific colour rules have also suggested that Aries should be cautious with darker shades that may weigh down its fire, with some writers instead pointing to colours that support motion and confidence rather than restraint.
Cancer is the third sign named in Bulgakova’s list, and the reasoning here is more emotional than visual. White is said to intensify Cancer’s tendency towards melancholy, though that is very much an astrological interpretation rather than a hard rule. Similar guides on lucky and unlucky colours, including pieces from Asianet Newsable and Times of India, note that Cancer is often linked with moods, sensitivity and the Moon, which is why some astrologers recommend warmer or brighter shades if the aim is to lift the mood rather than deepen it. As ever with zodiac style advice, the fun is in treating it as a playful prompt, not a dress code carved in stone.
