A rare celestial convergence on August 13, featuring a Leo new moon and significant planetary alignments, is inspiring fresh starts and personal ambitions across the zodiac, according to astrologers and tarot experts.
A wave of lunar symbolism is set to peak on August 13, when the Chinese lunar calendar enters the first day of the seventh month and astrologers say a Leo new moon lands alongside a rare string of planetary alignments and a solar eclipse. In the guide shared by entertainment outlet LTN, tarot reader Eiffel says this is less about passively waiting for luck and more about clearly naming the life you want to build. That framing fits a wider astrological habit of treating new moons as reset points, with July horoscopes in 2024 from several astrology sites also describing the phase as a moment for fresh intentions and new starts.
Eiffel says Leo brings themes of confidence, attraction, love and ambition into sharper focus, making this a good time to write down wishes that may have been left sitting in the back of the mind for too long. The suggestion is simple: choose one desire, picture it as already real and then take at least one concrete step. That emphasis on action is not unusual in astrology coverage; Astrology King’s July 2024 forecast, for example, linked the new moon to themes of direction, purpose and practical momentum.
For the 12 zodiac signs, the advice is tailored but broadly upbeat. Aries is urged to restart stalled ambitions, Taurus to focus on steadier money, Gemini on speaking hidden hopes aloud and Cancer on home and emotional security. Leo, naturally, is the sign most directly spotlighted, with the new moon cast as a chance to step forward rather than stay behind the scenes. These sign-by-sign readings echo the style of monthly astrology round-ups, such as those from Allure and Luminary Astrology, which regularly pair lunar cycles with career, relationship and personal-growth themes.
The rest of the horoscope list follows the same pattern of renewal. Virgo is told to clear out old habits, Libra to invite in affection, Scorpio to push through a bottleneck and Sagittarius to look towards travel, study or a wider horizon. Capricorn is encouraged to think about long-term prosperity, Aquarius to do things their own way and Pisces to treat private dreams as something real enough to be shaped over time. July 2024 horoscope guides from Astrology King and Allure used similar language, presenting the new moon as a cycle that can nudge people towards cleaner habits, stronger relationships and a more deliberate path.
The article also gives four auspicious windows on August 13: 9:00 a.m. to 10:59 a.m., 11:00 a.m. to 12:59 p.m., 7:00 p.m. to 8:59 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 10:59 p.m. Whether readers treat that as practical timing or just part of the ritual, the underlying message is the same: be specific, be brave and say the thing you have been holding back. Astrology calendars, including AstroSofa’s listings for earlier new moons, commonly present this kind of timing as part of the day’s broader symbolic rhythm.
